Live Jasmin offers a great free way to find out what the cams craze is all about, and it could not be easier to use. Video and chat are combined seamlessly in your browser, allowing both two way voice and video interaction with the models.
The service features nearly 53,000 live cam feeds of both softcore, and some hardcore models. On a series of visits over the course of two weeks we saw as few as 400 and as many as 2,000 live models/feeds available. Of course, users will mostly browse "who's online" for models, which is organized into basic categories like girls, couples, lesbians, fetish, matures, and boys. All models/performers are given a spare "page" accessible off their main chat screen, which was of some usefulness, since most include a few nude shots along with some QA answers like this "I can do all what you want in prvt. No nude in free chat." When asked for "turn offs," this same model stated "rude and greed people" (sic).
Because it is so large, LiveJasmin illustrates both the good and bad features of the ubiquitous cam site and cam girls in general. Cams have the furtive charm of a whorehouse. Technical sophistication, cam quality, sound and lighting, varies from model to model as each model seems to be an independent contractor.
To take a girl private, you have to pay. In this case, $1.49 per minute, which is purchased in the form of credits. 100 credits costs $29.99, which buys you about 20 minutes of "private time." Minutes are more expensive for some special shows, such as hardcore couples. We watched a several couples on LiveJasmin. One young couple, Claudia & Marco, got it on for me and executed like they were at a porn shoot. Sir Rodney directed them to do all sorts of acrobatics, just like a porn producer! Another couple, however, failed to deliver the goods (one too many cam shows for him, I suppose) though the woman was smoking hot and did her best to soldier on, so to speak, with a silver dildo. Thought the interactive angle is fun and unique, the fact is that a web cam is just not a very good vehicle for showing hardcore.
Web cams are much more intimate, and more personal than hardcore movies.
